Outcomes of Differing TreatmentSocietal Treatment of the DifferentSociety treats differing groups differently dependant on the value accorded to that group. The mass of people at least get to experience some most of the minimal benefits that a society has to offer that allow life to continue and to be enjoyable. The highly valued receive many positive benefits- often out of all proposition to that received by the mass or by the lowly. The lowly are not only denied the general benefits, but also suffer grievously from damaging events and outcomes. That which is thought to be the essential minimum of good treatment is difficult to agree. SRV uses a simple set of expectations called "The Good Things in Life", as the minimum arguably necessary for the continuance of life, both physically and mentally. The experiences shared by devalued groups are an important part of SRV Theory. These are called "The Wounds". The Good Things in LifeThe Good Things in Life are an arguably defensible bare minimum to allow human potential to develop. The Wounds
People who are devalued by society are likely to
be severely wounded by their experiences at the
hands of that society. The negative
results of such wounding may be life defining,
and may even result in being life terminating.
