Foundations of SRV

SRV is based on findings from the Social Sciences, mainly from Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology, and from its base in Normalization theory.  Additionally support is found in miscellaneous places- History, and from other approaches to devalued people historically and currently.

Psychology allows us to understand how individuals and groups view each other and value each other.  It also gives us (from social psychology) Role theory, which is a core foundation of SRV.

Sociology allows us to understand how groups of people work together or disagree about certain issues.  Deviance Theory, another core foundation is found here.

Anthropology allows us to understand the structure of society over a period of time or currently within another culture.
