How does a society decide what are the societally acceptable variations in     treatment due to:

                  ‘Race’

                  Culture

                  Gender

                  Sexual Orientation

                  Violence against others

                  The taking of others’ property

IS THERE ANY UNIVERSAL STANDARD THAT CAN BE EMPLOYED TO TELL YOU WHAT IS THE ‘RIGHT’ THING TO DO ABOUT THESE MATTERS?
