Denial of True Human Companionship
Absence or loss of natural/freely-given relationships, and substitution of artificial/’boughten’ ones

Following on from Relationship Discontinuity is the substitution of artificial relationships- largely with paid service providers.

There is something noble in freely given or familial relationships that is missing in such artificial relationships.  Although we may imagine that devalued people may be 'happy' with relationships with paid service workers, supposing the following happened:

'One night you arrive home to find a letter saying that as the funding has been withdrawn, your spouse will be moving out in a week's time and will no longer care for you.'

Although this is an extreme example, similar happenings are common in the paid service world, and devalued people are expected to survive such rejections, even when regularly repeated.
